Echo by United Visual Artist
Really beautiful. In collaboration with the dance group Mimbre, ‘Echo’ was performed using advanced 3-D cameras to capture the physicality of the dancers movement, this was then translated in real time to a monumental backdrop creating a simultaneous performance. They’ll be touring internationally in 2009.

I just have to say in general that advertising agencies in Hamburg, Germany have been coming out with some interesting adverts.

Apples New Sweet (Green) Ride...with all Apple...
pretty beautiful design by Jake Foley. The Apple bicycle includes an iPod scroll wheel to place or possibly charge the PMPs, laptop case for notebook, and magnetic wheels to make commuting quick and effortless. Powered by hydraulic fluids, the bike doesn’t require chains, and easily folds into a compact size to be carried inside a building.

Just Watch the Sky →
i love this website. It’s a really great collection of music and the typographic realisation of special phrases is done quite beautifully. I sort of wish I didn’t have to click through, or maybe if the pages were on autoplay…but then again I’d probably miss the typography. Definitely check out this website. I want the playlist.
ha
sweet.

Also Chair: Tranforming Design
The ‘Also Chair’, designed by Akin Bacioglu is a multifunctional furniture unit that not only works as a reading armchair but it transforms into a study desk as well. Flip it 90 degrees to convert the chair to a table and it’s even got a little book shelf for you. Made of solid oak and mdf, this is great for those cramped spaces like city apartments and student dorm rooms.

ZeFrank Voice Controlled Drawing Tool
drawing by the artist
my poor attempt
it was pretty difficult. I kept getting bloody circles. I managed to gain more control by whistling and clapping rather than singing. Singing an actual song gave me a bunch of circles even though I sang at different levels. You can have a go and check out more drawings here.
Monster Pooping Machine
Cloaca No.5 isn’t some fancy perfume from Paris—far from it. It is actually an elaborate reproduction of the human digestive system produced by Belgian artist Wim Delvoye. And all it does is poop.

of course this could just be another scam, like from the man, Hwang Woo Suk who disgraced all of Korea and the world science community. Still…this kind of stuff makes me a little queasy. You can read more about it and get all the details here.
